20 x Edwards Al Active Pirani Gauges Calibrated in less than a week.

Richard Nott, our Vacuum Pump Engineer has had the challenge of turning round 20 x gauges for Doncaster Precision, Droitwich

1.These gauges have a measuring range from atmosphere to 1 x 10-4 mbar and combine the gauge head and controller in one compact active unit. The Pirani range has a substantial user base with a successful track record in the measurement of rough and backing pressures across a broad spectrum of applications.

Why is it important to calibrate a gauge? Regular calibration for gauges is important and often essential. The main factor is accuracy. Accuracy of a gauge is important like any type of measuring device. An accurate measuring device, such as a calibrated gauge allows us to access data to make accurate, correct decisions. This inevitably will save costs and reduce any risks of losing money or business from poor decisions.

Certificates are produced by West Technology and signed by our Engineers. This is to maintain certification of calibration, keeping within safety and company guidelines. All certificates are traceable to National Standards (NAMAS or UCAS). West Technology keeps records of all gauges, which have been calibrated in house or sold. When calibration is due on your gauge, we will prompt you and depending if we have a driver or engineer in your area, collect your gauge, free of charge. This also applies for MFC’s and various gauges. If you have a gauge which needs calibrating please do not hesitate getting in touch by clicking on the links or calling: 01454 329 898

I am delighted to say that Richard did calibrate all x 20 Pirani Gauges in just one week. Derek Westwood from Doncaster Precision  was quoted, ‘We are pleased West Technology can turn around these gauges so quickly and will continue to send our gauges in for annual calibration’
