A few weeks ago, we reported on our new racking, which has helped make the Vacuum Pump Service department an organised and well run department. Following the new racking; West Technology has now invested in new advanced machinery, which will allow West Technology’s Vacuum Service department to move forward and build on our already respected and well-deserved reputation.
Two new items which have been welcomed to the West Technology factory are a Jetkleen semi-automatic aqueous parts washer and an UltraKleen ultrasonic cleaning machine from our friends at Safety Kleen, Bristol. Both these machines will help improve efficiency and productivity, which will cut lead times, labour and in turn save our customers money.
West Technology often sees pumps come through the door covered in heavy oil, grease and dirt. The JetKleen washer uses a high pressure pump, that can be used to clean components quickly and effectively and even small light components are not a problem in the JetKleen. It cleans a wide range of materials which often need to be removed from customer’s pumps before inspection: pumps can now be cleaned and inspected quickly. SafetyKleen is supported by specialist chemistry and fully service machine program.
Rotors, Stators, casing and many more pump parts are now cleaned in the new UltraKleen. Here comes the scientific to explain why this application is such an investment to the service department: 1 The UltraKleen cleans using sonically generated pressure waves which agitate the cleaning fluid at very high velocity to cause micro-explosions knows as cavitation’s. These explosions create a scrubbing action against any solid surface in contact with the fluid, rapidly removing soiling and contaminants. All parts are cleaned with a with non-hazardous, VOC-free pH neutral cleaning fluids and helps improve the working environment.
As previously mentioned, these two new purchases will be a great asset to the West Technology Vacuum Service department, improving lead times and cutting down labour time which will then reduce costs for the customer.
