Pfeiffer’s new press release with ComVac 2017, announces that the Duo-line Rotary Vane Pumps are now environmentally friendly, with new improved water vapour tolerance and reduced operating noise.
The Duo Line is already considered as a high-performance rotary vane pump and covers all low and medium vacuum applications and used in systems such as Electron Microscopy, Optical Coating, Vacuum drying and Vacuum furnaces. Gas ballasts are often used with the Duo vacuum pump; this is because water vapour can occur during a process. Water vapour tolerance and the final pressure, obtainable with the gas ballast are important criteria, which is why Pfeiffer Vacuum has significantly improved the water vapour tolerance of the pumps, with a new optimised gas ballast system.
Duo Line Two-Stage Rotary vane pumps have a pumping speed of 1.3 to 250m3/h and reaches a valve of 44 dB (A) at 50Hz, however the Duo pump now has new reduced operating noises and switchable motors that allow the connection voltage to change over between 115 V and 230 V.
Maintenance costs have always been low for Duo pumps; this is thanks to the magnetic coupling, which also makes the pumps environmentally friendly. Recently, the oil mist discharge has been reduced and the innovative drive concept improved, making it a clean and environmentally friendly Two Stage pump.
