It is not every day we see these Busch Mink Pumps come through West Technology doors for service, but Cornelsen, near Bristol have given our service engineering the opportunity to service not x 1 but x 7 Busch Mink Pumps. At first look, it looks as though our engineers really have their work cut out, because of the size and weight of the pump, however this is actually the opposite. These resilient pumps are one of the cheapest and easiest to service in the industry.
Cornelsen is an international company from the UK and Germany who specialise in soil and Groundwater Remediation Systems and Technologies and Industrial water Filtration Services. They pride themselves on their unique systems design and servicing, something West Technology is proud to be part of.
These Mink Pumps play an important part in Cornelsen systems, with an ultimate vacuum of 150mbar absolute having to deal with moisture and particulates such as soil and dirt. As these Vacuum Pumps are dry running pump, with no operating fluids, it means the pump can deal with the moisture or dirt and no contamination will ever occur. Mink claw compressors are always equipped with an inlet filter and a pressure relief valve; this ensures that it is kept at a constant pressure, making the system and pump reliable and extremely effective. We mentioned that the pumps were surprisingly low maintenance, which is a testament to their unique design as the pump is contact free, so no moving internal moving parts of the compressor come into contact, which means minimum wearing and more usage out of the pump. Busch Mink Vacuum Pumps are also ATEX rated, so are safe to work with flammable vapours and most often used in petroleum industry.
Although these pumps boast low maintenance and little servicing, it is good to see them in the West Technology workshop as it is always important for most equipment to have a once over, ensuring that it will continue to be highly efficient and long lasting.
