This recognition celebrates one of our latest breakthroughs, the VMD160, the world’s first portable vacuum metal deposition system. By shrinking powerful laboratory technology into a rugged, IP67-rated mobile unit, we’ve made it possible for investigators to uncover latent fingerprints on-site in under 15 minutes. This “lab-in-a-box” uses atomic layers of metal to reveal critical evidence on surfaces like glass, plastic, and metal, giving police and military teams a game-changing tool for even the most challenging environments.

What makes our VMD160 truly revolutionary is the perfect balance of speed and forensic precision. Powered by high-performance Busch Group vacuum technology, the system delivers high-quality results while remaining non-destructive, ensuring evidence is perfectly preserved for DNA profiling or ballistics. We’ve designed it to be incredibly efficient, using only a small amount of metal to keep operating costs low while maximising impact.

This award is a testament to our commitment to pioneering new standards in forensic science and field-based evidence processing!
